How do you choose the right yarn?

One yarn base for every knitting or crochet project. Really?

Here are my tips to help you find your way.

How do you choose the right yarn base?

The first question to ask yourself is: what do I most enjoy knitting or crocheting?

The answer will help you make a smart selection from the available yarn bases and avoid buying yarn you might not use.

Here are my tips (feel free to adapt them to your own experience):

Stranded colourwork

LO(U)VE SINGLE & SINGLE YAK 120. A yarn that blooms slightly when blocked, just enough to conceal the floats running behind the colourwork. An ideal tip for beginners, but not just for them.

Hold it together with LO(U)VE SILKY SURI or SUPERKID SILK to add a fuzzy texture.
