My name is Ingrid. With Une Louve Dans Les Bois, I bring you my colourful creations: quality yarns, dyed by hand. Colours inspired by nature, intense, deep colours full of character, just as nature can sometimes be.
Yarn with an extra touch of happiness.
The wolf in the woods
Why this name?
Who can name a nursery rhyme in which the wolf does not play a leading role? I am sure you have the tune of “promenons-nous…” in your head. Not to mention that, very often, where there is a sheep, the wolf is never far away.
This name calls me to take long walks in the forest.

From fibre to skein
The production process
Our yarns are spun from fibres sourced from animals raised on small farms in South America that respect their welfare. These farms are committed to not practising mulesing.
Before dyeing, the skeins are prewashed to remove traces of grease and other residues left by the spinning process that could interfere with dye uptake.
The dyeing process is carried out in small batches (a maximum of 4 skeins per dye bath), following a strict procedure. This ensures quality control, with the same care given to every skein.
To limit our environmental impact, the dyes we use are non-toxic (free from heavy metals). The pH regulator needed to fix the dye to the fibre is food-grade. Our dye baths are exhausted and neutralised before disposal. Water is used responsibly throughout the production process.
After dyeing, the yarns soak for a long time in clean water to remove any residue, followed by a second soak with a specially formulated gentle soap (Soak, fragrance-free). This ensures they are thoroughly rinsed.
